The exterior is elegant but still highly functional. The beauty
will measure 178 inches long, 77 inches wide and 49 inches
tall. It will have a maximum curb weight of 3,582 lbs. At the
front are excellently designed indirect white LED lights set in
black-chrome finished lamp housings along with standard HID
projector headlights while turn signals feature edge-lit amber
LED lighting.

At the rear, the taillights are set in 3D sculpted lenses
housings and feature indirect LED lighting. The tail lights are
integrated with functional aircraft-like air outlets. The
vehicle has a power operated top which utilizes a new mechanism
that enables it to be lowered in only 21 seconds. The standard
1LT trim will have heated exterior mirrors while the 2LT
features auto dimming outside mirrors.

The new Chevy will ride on 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch
rear wheels. The automaker is also offering a performance
package to go with any of the three trim levels. This package
features 19-inch and 20-inch front and rear wheels
respectively, a modified suspension, hefty brakes, integral
coolers for transmission and differential, a new rear spoiler,
brake-cooling ducts and extra air deflectors to enhance its
track capability.

The interior which will accommodate two people is excellently
designed using premium materials and the latest technology
features in the market. It features 8-way power seats with GT
seats covered with perforated Mulan leather as standard; there
is an option for Sport seats with sueded microfiber inserts.

For steering, it features a power tilt/telescopic steering
wheel which is wrapped in leather. Other standard features
include an 8-inch color touch-screen radio with Chevrolet
MyLink and Bose 9-speaker audio system. It also features dual
-zone automatic climate control, Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar 4G LTE
connectivity and a rearview camera. It also features keyless
access and pushbutton ignition.

The 2LT trim level will have a 10-speaker premium audio system
with bass box. It will also have a cargo net, heated and
ventilated seats and a g-meter head-up display when the vehicle
is in track mode. According to reports, there are 3 new design
packages offered with 3LT trim only. These new packages are
meant to offer customers more alternatives for customized look
and feel.

Each package brings a different feel from grand touring to
high-performance. The packages are Twilight Blue Design

Engine, Specs and Performance

Under the hood of the 2016 Chevy Stingray Convertible is a
power train that comes with a good deal of performance and
efficiency.  The unit is a 6.2 L LT1 V 8 engine that
produces 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired
with a 7-speed manual transmission system with Active Rev Match
as well as an 8- speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.

Price and release date

According to the information we have received from our sources,
the 2016 Chevy Corvette convertible will be released
to dealerships in the last quarter of 2015. The base model 1LT
start price will be around $ 59.400 (MSRP), while starting
MSRP for the Z51 3LT trim levels ranging from $ 64.400.
